There's a local paper rolled up in a rubber band
One more sad story's one more than I can stand
Just once how I'd like to see the headline say
"Not much to print today, can't find nothin' bad to say", because
Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody OD'ed, nobody burned a single buildin' down
Nobody fired a shot in anger, nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today

Wow, there were murders @ BG?!Thanks for the news update.
It is interesting how everyone mourns the deaths of the VT college students ... however, when our troops are killed we get, "Five MORE Die in Iraq". When did people who choose to defend the country become JUST a number? JUST another part of some person's agenda?
Although it would not be good news, better news would be ... "Five Brave Soldiers Make the Ultimate Sacrifice for Their Country". I think all news can have some good in it. It just comes down to whether or not we choose to acknowledge it.
